Peter Grimes, a fisherman in a small coastal town, is accused of a terrible crime. Though cleared of legal guilt, he faces the judgment and hostility of the villagers. When tragedy strikes again, Peter, consumed by guilt and paranoia, returns to the sea.

Allan Clayton, Bryn Terfel and Maria Bengtsson star in Britten's bleak operatic tragedy, in which the dark undercurrents of paranoia and mob mentality lead to a turbulent, haunting end. Be gripped by this shocking story and moved by stunning singing in this critically-acclaimed production of one of opera’s most haunting tales.
